The 2022 Kia EV6 GT-Line RWD has a single-motor drivetrain and a 77.4-kWh battery pack.

This combination, which is also available in the Wind trim level, yields the best range: 310 miles, according to the EPA.

The single-motor EV6 GT-Line and Wind models make 225 horsepower, while their dual-motor counterparts have 320 horsepower.

Naturally, the single-motor EV6 GT-Line isn't as quick as the dual-motor GT-Line we tested. The former accelerates to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, versus 4.5 seconds for the dual-motor version.

The EV6's low-slung profile contrasts with the boxier Hyundai Ioniq 5, although the two are mechanically similar under the skin.

The driver faces a dual-screen dash. Gear selection is via a dial on the console.

The digital instrument cluster display has a limited degree of customizability.

This touch panel operates the climate controls or, alternately, the infotainment system—requiring the driver to toggle back and forth.

White vegan-leather accents, part of the optional upholstery on the GT-Line, brighten the interior.

Rear-seat space is adequate for adults, although the seat cushion is low.

There's no frunk in the EV6, only a small lidded storage bin under the hood.
